In order to apply for a FINMA licence, you need access to the EHP via self-registration. Self-registration applies to the following forms of authorisation:

FinTech authorisation enquiry
Credit rating agency
Securities firm
Foreign securities firm representative office
Foreign securities firm branch office
Fund management company
Manager of collective assets
Foreign manager of collective assets representative office
Portfolio manager
Foreign portfolio manager representative office
Trustee
Foreign trustee representative office
DLT trading facility small with post-trading activity
DLT trading facility small without post-trading activity
DLT trading facility with post-trading activity
DLT trading facility without post-trading activity
Insurance intermediary
Representatives of foreign collective investment schemes (CISA)
Investment company with variable capital (SICAV)

The EHP is accessible via the FINMA portal. In order to apply for a FINMA licence via the EHP you need to register once on the FINMA portal.
If you already have access to the FINMA portal, sign in with your login and register your institution. To do this, use the tile for self-registration on the FINMA portal (Apply for Access) and follow the instructions.
If you do not yet have access to the FINMA portal, request it using the link below. After you fill in the form you will receive a confirmation email from portaladmin@finma.ch to the email address you provided. Open the link in the email and complete the registration. Then log on to the FINMA portal and submit your application via the self-registration tile (User data).
