The EHP is primarily intended for all institutions and individuals (such as insurance intermediaries) that are licensed, recognised, authorised or registered with FINMA or wish to apply for such. Institutions authorised by FINMA will be actively invited by FINMA to use the EHP. Institutions not authorised by FINMA can find out on the FINMA homepage whether the licensing process for their institution is conducted via the EHP. The relevant authorisations can be found here.
You can submit an application for self-registration to FINMA. You will then receive access to the FINMA portal and the EHP and can subsequently apply for FINMA authorisation. Detailed information about self-registration can be found at the following link.
Please report the information to be corrected to digital@finma.ch. You will receive a response from our support team within a reasonable period.
Registration on the EHP must take place without interruption when the link is opened for the first time. This is the only way it can be completed successfully. You will receive a one-time registration link for this purpose that is valid for 21 days. Should the link no longer work or have expired, please send a screenshot of the error message to digital@finma.ch. You will receive a response from our support team within a reasonable period.
Applications for self-registration are generally processed and approved within a few days. However, slight delays are possible. The persons named in the application (manager and deputy) will receive an email as soon as the application has been approved. Confirmation will also subsequently be sent out by post to the address of the institution or individual/legal entity provided in the application for self-registration.
If the application has not been approved after five working days, please contact us at digital@finma.ch.
Should the application be rejected, FINMA will notify you of this by email, stating the reasons.
Approval of your application for self-registration allows you to access the EHP. The approval does not mean that you are now a licensed institution or that you are subject to supervision by FINMA. Self-registration only allows you to access the EHP and the submission templates available there.
Registration of licensed institutions on the EHP takes place by naming authorisation coordinators (AC). Please use the form on the FINMA website for this purpose. The procedure is set out in detail on the page entitled “Request access to the EHP with a FINMA licence”.
