Initial steps, frequently asked questions

FINMA uses the web-based survey and application platform (EHP) for digital exchanges with supervised institutions. Here you will find answers to questions concerning the initial steps when using the EHP.

The web-based survey and application platform (EHP) is provided for you to submit submissions to FINMA. Submissions include applications that you submit to FINMA, data that you transmit to FINMA and reports that you make to FINMA. See also the brief EHP introductory video below to find out more. Below you will find information about the initial steps and frequently asked questions concerning the EHP.

Access to the EHP and submission of a licence application

To obtain a FINMA licence for an institution or individual, you must apply for access to the EHP by means of self-registration (SelfReg). You can then submit a licence application on the EHP. The FINMA webpage “Apply for access to the EHP without a FINMA licence” explains how to proceed with self-registration.

Go to “Apply for access to the EHP without a FINMA licence”

Apply for additional FINMA authorisation

If you wish to apply for additional authorisation, you can do this by means of the application for self-registration via the EHP.

Alternatively, contact digital@finma.ch and notify us of the new authorisation for which you wish to submit an application.
