Symposium on insurance intermediation
FINMA provides information on specialist topics, presents new projects and requirements and fosters the exchange of ideas and experience. One opportunity for this is the symposia for insurance intermediaries.
Symposia are intended to provide an opportunity for the exchange of information and knowledge. Symposia for intermediaries were held for the first time at the end of 2023 with the aim of providing information on the most important changes in the revised Insurance Supervision Act and the revised Insurance Supervision Ordinance with effect from 1 January 2024. More than two years have now passed since the new intermediary regulation came into force.
Another symposium will be held in June 2026, providing an opportunity to look back and as well as forward. FINMA will provide information on market developments, registration topics and initial supervisory experience. The symposium will also serve as a platform for exchanging experience.
