FINMA to relocate its Zurich office from the city centre to Oerlikon

More attractive working conditions and lower operating costs per workstation: FINMA will relocate its Zurich office from the city centre to Zurich-Oerlikon in autumn 2026.

The Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA is scheduled to relocate its Zurich office from its current address at Wasserwerkstrasse 12 to Zurich Oerlikon in November 2026.

The existing rental agreement for the site at Wasserwerkstrasse 12 is coming to an end. After the move, the office will be returned back to its original state and handed over to the owner.

The new site comprises some 7,700 square metres of office space and offers room for around 350 workstations. The rent is significantly lower than prices in city centre locations. This will reduce the operating costs per workstation. The space is conceived for long-term use. The new location offers more attractive working conditions, modern workspaces and is well connected to public transport infrastructure. FINMA’s head office will remain in Bern.
