General notes

>

Expressions without operators (+/-) or inverted commas produce less precise results.
Example:
Luzern finds "Luzern", "Luzerner Kantonalbank" and "Luzerner"

Expressions with operators or inverted commas produce precise results.
Examples:
"Luzern" finds Luzern, but not Luzerner
+Luzern also finds Luzern, but not Luzerner

Operators (+/-)
> When using operators, these must be placed in front of each expression. No spaces must appear between the operators and the expression. The " + " operator signifies that the result must contain the expression. The " - " operator signifies that the result must not contain the expression.
Examples:
+Investment +limited finds "Investment limited" and "Investment Corporation limited", but not "Investment funds"
+Investment -Corporation finds "Investment funds", but not "Investment Corporation limited"

Upper and lower case
> This search engine does not differentiate between upper and lower case.
Example:
"investment funds" also finds "INVESTMENT FUNDS"

Considered columns
> Both the "Name" and "Location/Country" column are considered for the searching.
Example:
"Zürich" also finds all institutions domiciled in Zürich.

Search multiple expressions
> To precisely find one or several expressions these can be placed between inverted commas. The results are limited and correspond exactly to the search expression(s).
Example:
"Investment limited" finds "Investment limited", but not "Investment Corporation limited"

Searching producing less precise results
> Expressions which are not placed between inverted commas produce less precise results. Umlaute and special characters are not considered. Ä, ö, ü are thus searched as a, o, u and é and à are searched as e and a.
Examples:
Genève finds Genève and Geneve
Zurich also finds Zürich
