• 28.05.2013FINMA is looking into complaint regarding violations of reporting obligations at LifeWatchLifeWatch Ltd has notified the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA about suspected violations of reporting obligations. It has also requested FINMA to suspend voting rights and ban any further acquisitions being made. FINMA is currently looking into the matter. The supervisory authority has, however, rejected LifeWatch's request regarding an ex parte suspension of voting rights and an ex parte ban on any further acquisitions being made. +++
• 23.05.2013Consultation on partial revision of the Circular "Operational risks at banks"The Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA is opening a consultation on the partial revision of FINMA Circular 2008/21 on "Operational risks at banks". While the partially revised Circular focuses on general qualitative requirements for managing operational risks, it also contains new provisions on risk-related issues. Moreover, it provides guidelines for handling electronic client data. The consultation closes on 1 July 2013. +++
